Will SUVs Replace Sedans as the Police Fleet Standard?

According to a recent Detroit News article, police departments across the country are shifting their vehicle preference from sedan to SUV. Although sedans have been a police fleet standard for decades, newer SUVs are safer and offer more in-vehicle space and improved efficiency.
